Andy is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the domestic and international recruitment of property and casualty insurance professionals. In 1992 he transitioned to Smith Hanley Associates LLC from Davis & Company. Over the span of twenty years, Andy meticulously built their global insurance practice into a nationally recognized recruitment leader. In May 2012, Andy, alongside colleagues Karen McCorkindale and Sean de Groot, took the entrepreneurial leap and founded Penfield Search Partners LLC. Founding the company on their shared principals of excellence, niche focus, and integrity in recruiting. Andy remains unwavering in his commitment to shaping the future of the insurance sector through strategic talent placement.
Barbara Day

With a career spanning over 25 years, Barbara has established herself as a leading expert in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO industries. She heads the Permanent Biometrics practice and is the founder of Penfield's Consulting Group. Barbara has played a key role in connecting talented individuals with top-tier companies in need of specialized expertise in biostatistics. Her deep understanding of the drug development industry has been instrumental in shaping the success of countless projects and initiatives.
Barbara has a passion for helping companies to integrate the right biometrics professionals into their organizations to improve the drug development process and lower the drug failure rate due to study design flaws. She strives to work with CMOs in the emerging biotech space to identify the right time to bring in quantitative approaches to the trials through both high-level strategic consultants and FTE hires.
Barbara brings the highest level of integrity to each search and provides competitive intelligence to clients to help ensure they are properly positioned in the marketplace to attract and retain the best talent. Her in-depth knowledge of the industry, as well as trends that affect the candidate landscape, allows her to deliver sound career guidance to candidates as they build their careers.
Sean de Groot

Sean recruits a broad range of executive positions including CUOs, CFOs and divisional leaders for insurance companies. Over the last 25 years, he has cultivated strong relationships within the professional liability, property, and casualty space, consistently delivering exceptional staffing solutions at all organizational levels. Sean has played a pivotal role in launching MGAs by leveraging relationships with investors and carriers and efficiently meeting their staffing needs. Prior to founding Penfield Search Partners in 2012, Sean honed his skills for 15 years at a boutique recruitment agency, successfully building a robust network of insurance professionals.
Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with his family, travel, and sports, particularly basketball and golf.
Kyle Diamond

With a profound understanding of industry trends and a commitment to excellence, Kyle consistently delivers impactful solutions that drive success for his clients and their teams.
Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife, Kimberly, and three children – Braden, Chase, and Michaela. Kyle likes to vacation at Jersey Shore’s Long Beach Island, where he’d love to surf, but can’t quite figure out the balancing part. Although passionate about recruiting, his true love is all things outdoors – mountain biking, landscaping, pickleball, and hiking with his dogs.
