With a career spanning over 25 years, Barbara has established herself as a leading expert in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO industries. She heads the Permanent Biometrics practice and is the founder of Penfield's Consulting Group. Barbara has played a key role in connecting talented individuals with top-tier companies in need of specialized expertise in biostatistics. Her deep understanding of the drug development industry has been instrumental in shaping the success of countless projects and initiatives.

Barbara has a passion for helping companies to integrate the right biometrics professionals into their organizations to improve the drug development process and lower the drug failure rate due to study design flaws. She strives to work with CMOs in the emerging biotech space to identify the right time to bring in quantitative approaches to the trials through both high-level strategic consultants and FTE hires.

Barbara brings the highest level of integrity to each search and provides competitive intelligence to clients to help ensure they are properly positioned in the marketplace to attract and retain the best talent. Her in-depth knowledge of the industry, as well as trends that affect the candidate landscape, allows her to deliver sound career guidance to candidates as they build their careers.

Kyle has been dedicated to helping numerous pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients build out their commercial teams, specifically in the business analytics, data science, forecasting, and sales analytics areas. Since 2005, strong client and candidate relationships have been his focal points, developed through his attentive and highly personalized service. With a profound understanding of industry trends and a commitment to excellence, Kyle consistently delivers impactful solutions that drive success for his clients and their teams. 

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife, Kimberly, and three children – Braden, Chase, and Michaela. Kyle likes to vacation at Jersey Shore’s Long Beach Island, where he’d love to surf, but can’t quite figure out the balancing part. Although passionate about recruiting, his true love is all things outdoors – mountain biking, landscaping, pickleball, and hiking with his dogs.

Kevin leads Penfield's recruiting practice in the Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Market Access and Pricing. He has over 25 years of recruitment experience and has an intimate knowledge of trends that are occurring around the industry. Kevin prides himself on providing sound guidance to candidates as they build their careers and competitive intelligence to clients in their quest to attract and retain top talent. Prior to joining Penfield in 2014, Kevin worked at Smith Hanley Associates and its parent company inVentiv Health. Kevin has a BA in History from Princeton University.

Susan specializes in the recruitment of biostatisticians across all levels in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO industries. Before joining Penfield in 2015, Susan spent over 15 years with Smith Hanley Associates and its parent company inVentiv Health, also recruiting in the biostatistics space. One of her specialties is helping companies to make the transition from an outsourced to an in-house model by hiring their first biostatistician. Through continual research she strives to remain current on industry trends, as well as to provide a long-term “big picture” perspective to both clients and candidates.

Susan values an ethical, proactive, and personal approach. She holds a BFA in Painting from Syracuse University. 

Kim specializes in the placement of market research and marketing professionals within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries nationwide. She brings over 25 years of executive recruiting experience across a variety of industries to Penfield’s pharmaceutical recruiting practice. She has specialized in pharma for the past ten years. Her understanding of the industry positions her to deliver sound career guidance to candidates as they progress through their careers. Her knowledge of the candidate landscape enables her to deliver the best candidates quickly to her clients. She always makes the time to talk and rarely forgets a conversation. Her commitment to integrity in dealing with both clients and candidates and her relationship building efforts set her apart from the competition and has been the key to her success.
